Dee Jay Silver with All Access Music
There was a time when I was flat broke, living in the office space of my buddies storage unit that I second guessed myself. But I really feel that was what made me create a work ethic and push myself. I remember telling myself that I’m either gonna be successful at this or a very happy broke person for the rest of my life…but this is all I’m gonna do! Life would suck if I didn’t have music in my life and the people music has allowed me to make friends with.
Dee Jay Silver + Cameo
Stars and Guitars on New Album Corners
Dee Jay Silver isn’t your run of the mill country musician, either. His album, Corners will bridge the gap between multiple genres, from country to hip-hop and even house. Nothing is off-limits, and that’s what makes his music so exciting. Corners an 11 track album from start to finish is an all genre encompassing album.
Detroit Free Press on Faster Horses Festival
Dee Jay Silver, a Texas-born mashup specialist, has been spinning tunes onstage at Faster Horses since the fest launched in 2013. He was already a familiar figure to many of these fans: Since 2010, Silver has been a mainstay of Jason Aldean’s tours, where he DJs throughout the shows to stimulate the energy of an all-night party.
'Corners' Breaks Genre Barriers
With Corners, Dee Jay Silver continues to blaze through uncharted territory as he develops the complexities of his sound. He may break rules and work against expectations, but the one recognizable component in his music is his authenticity. The album showcases his ability to commit to whatever genre he chooses to explore. Although all the songs reflect distinctly polarizing influences and draw vocals from all different types of singers, they still manage to retain common ground. Beyond its stellar execution, Corners provides a glimpse into the genre-less future of the industry, and perhaps most surprisingly, the endless possibilities for country music.
