NASHVILLE, Tenn., March 12, 2013 - Six-time Grammy winner Carrie Underwood is often called the reigning queen of Country music. On the new remix of the singer's "Two Black Cadillacs," Underwood joins forces with the iconic Dolly Parton, further bridging the gap between the old and new guard. Parton's "Jolene" is featured heavily in the official Dee Jay Silver remix of Underwood's current Country entry -- the original version is sitting comfortably just inside the Top 5 on the Mediabase radio airplay chart.
In the re-imagining of Underwood's dark single, Silver brings the murderous tale to a new level, peppering in the lonesome cry of Parton, as she begs the other woman not to take her man. Juxtaposed with the vocal finesse of Underwood, the remix breathes life into "Two Black Cadillacs," and simply demonstrates what a powerful song it really is. This deadly combination harkens back to Parton's earlier work, even reminiscent of former industry rival Reba McEntire's "The Night the Lights Went Out in Georgia," adding a sense of mystique and rawness to the story.
